Plumbing & Heating was founded by my father, Franklin
J. Thompson in 1954. We are a small business serving exclusively
the Fairmount, Brewerytown and Spring Garden sections of
the City of Philadelphia and its neighboring communities
(CENTER CITY).
Along with serving our community's plumbing and heating
needs, we also support the community that we serve. We are
a major supporter of the Fairmount Sports Association (4
teams), St. Francis Xavier School CYO and sponsor the Francisville
Playground Basketball Association. We also support many
other Neighborhood Projects and Events in the Fairmount
section of the city.
Thompson Plumbing & Heating is a full service, certified,
licensed and insured shop with the qualifications and expertise
to handle all your plumbing and heating needs and desires.
We believe in doing your work right the first time and taking
the plumbing or heating worries out of your life. We believe
that safety is the top priority while we are working in
your home. We are concerned with providing you a safe operating
plumbing and heating system when we leave. We are certified,
licensed, and insured to protect you and your loved ones.
We have the many years of experience to detect problems
quickly, and correct them in a timely manner.
It is unfortunate that so many shortcuts are being taken
by unqualified and uninsured "handymen" when installing
or maintaining a plumbing or heating systems today. This
only causes you, the homemaker, undue stress and additional
unnecessary expenses when the work is done wrong. It can
also endanger your life and the life of a family member.
Your home is probably your most valued possession and it
should not be damaged or devalued by unqualified, unlicensed
contractors.
As a licensed and trained registered master plumber, I
can recognize small problems in your home before the problems
become big ones. As a plumbing instructor for more than
18 years at Dobbins Vocational School, it was my task to
teach troubleshooting, provide good workmanship standards
and to be a good example for my students to follow, along
with teaching them an honorable trade. You will see that
same workmanship performed for you, because you deserve
no less.
For over 50 years (1954) our motto has been “Quality
and Reliability”. We feel that as a homeowner you
are entitled to have quality workmanship with the best available
materials. We feel that you are entitled to have someone
who is reliable and trustworthy to work in your home and
have respect for your home when it is entrusted to us.
When plumbing and heating is installed properly it enhances
the value of your home. Most people can only afford to make
major repairs or replacements once in a lifetime. It is
important to me to do the same quality work in your home
that I would do in my own home.
We feel that your time is valuable, just as our time is
valuable. This is why we are on your job the day we agree
to be there. The good Lord only gives us so much time on
this earth to get the job done. Why waste it doing the same
job twice? As an ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church,
I have dedicated my life to serve others. We are all on
this earth to work for the greater glory of God with the
talents He has given to each of us. My talent happens to
be as a licensed and insured master plumbing professional.
My call from God is to be a good servant deacon for His
people.
